About us

Our Mission Statement

All members of our community are expected to ensure that we have a fully inclusive school, are committed to equality and treat diversity in a positive manner. Thoughtful and respectful attitudes will be expected by and from everyone.

Any form of harassment will be reported and recorded and will not be tolerated at Spinning Infants. The Governing Body will actively monitor and take action when required.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Our Vision Statement

  • To promote positively the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of our children.
  • To create a stimulating school environment where children come eagerly to learn, where they feel valued and secure.
  • To encourage children to use language and mathematics effectively.
  • To encourage awareness of the scientific, technological, social, historical and geographical aspects of the local environment and wider world and to develop practical skills in these areas.
  • To share experiences and encourage creative participation in art, craft, literature, music, dance and other physical activities.
  • To develop sensitivity to each other's needs, friendliness, courtesy and tolerance towards others, and an appreciation and understanding of religious, cultural and moral values.
  • To help pupils to develop lively, enquiring minds, the ability to question and argue rationally and to acquire knowledge and skills relevant to a fast changing world.
  • To encourage a working partnership between governors, home, the community and school for the greater benefit of the children's education.
  • To encourage each child to take a pride in his/her work and achievements and to fulfil his/her potential.
  • To deliver a broad, balanced curriculum to each child.
  • To ensure that work is matched to the child's ability through continuous assessment.
